An Evening with Pianist Oliver Moore

Pianist Oliver Moore will perform Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in Eb minor (WTC I), Beethoven’s Sonata in D major, Op. 10 #3, Liszt’s Ballade #3,  Cyril Scott’s Rainbow Trout, Percy Grainger’s In Dohaney, and Muczynski’s Desperate Measures.  17-years of age, Oliver currently studies with Dr. Robert Bowman in Chico. As a pianist, double bassist, accompanist, arranger and composer, he takes inspiration from many forms of music. Oliver is primarily a classical pianist, but is well-versed in jazz and ragtime standards of the 20th century as well. 


He has won 1st place at the Redlands Bowl Concerto Competition, the CAPMT State Concerto Competition, the MTAC North Concerto Competition, the Classical Masters Piano Competition, the West Coast Ragtime Competition, and took 2nd place at the World Old-Time Piano Playing Contest in Oxford, Mississippi.
